Parenting’s a Trip: Parenting & Psychedelics

This community circle and educational space is a safe, supportive place for parents and caregivers to explore their relationship with non-ordinary consciousness experiences in connection with child care and parenthood.

Psychedelic and non-ordinary consciousness experiences have been used across time as a potent tool for healing and community connection. Research on psychedelic experiences has demonstrated that these experiences have potential to strengthen inner connectedness and enhance bonding within relationships. Many parents and caregivers who make the decision to explore these non-ordinary consciousness states are finding greater meaning in their role as parent and caregiver. This event aims to provide a safe space to explore the crossroads of parenting and psychedelics, as well as to share educational information around risk reduction, safety in the family context, and intentional use of psychedelic medicines. No experience with psychedelics is necessary, and all aspects of non-ordinary consciousness experiences are welcome to be explored.

This circle is facilitated by BriAnne Hutchinson, MS, E-RYT, APCC. BriAnne’s research thesis in graduate school was a study examining Somatic Experience themes in individuals micro-dosing psilocybin for therapeutic purposes. BriAnne works currently as a mental health counselor and trauma conscious yoga instructor for child, adolescent and adults in Humboldt County. This circle is open to all forms and expressions of parents/caregivers, across all generations. Simply bring a pen, a journal, and an open mind. Please feel welcome to reach out via DM on Instagram and Facebook @humboldtpsychedelicsociety, or email ( info@humboldtpsychedelicsociety.com ) with any questions.
